1. What are you hoping to bring to Trading India and get from it?

There are vast opportunities within the European market for our global client base, and we look forward to highlighting our diverse product offerings at Eurex. We plan to share key insights from our experience running a truly global derivatives exchange and discuss market evolution and access from across the world.

We are equally eager to learn from Indian market participants, given India's success in listed equity derivatives. Trading India provides a platform for interactions with exchanges, proprietary trading firms, brokers, ISVs, and other intermediaries.

Eurex has seen growing interest from trading firms looking to access our equity index, and FIC products, and we look forward to discussing developments with them at the heart of India’s capital in Mumbai.

2. How can your product/service help with the Indian derivatives trading professionals?

As investors across Asia seek diversification and tap into the growth of European markets, capital flows are increasing. Eurex offers extended trading hours for several products across the equity index and fixed income space. This has provided greater trading and hedging opportunities for investors in Asia especially during specific events impacting global stock markets. Eurex is one of the most liquid exchanges in the world, and for a truly diversified portfolio, we see more trading professionals getting access to our markets and products for round-the-clock trading.

Our products and services at Eurex allow derivatives trading professionals to expand their geographical footprint. Eurex combines global reach with local expertise, supporting market participants across different regions with tailored solutions and insights.

3. What opportunities do you see in the industry?

Effective risk management and hedging strategies are increasingly crucial in a complex market environment. Thus, expanding market access and improving liquidity are essential for financial market growth, attracting diverse participants, and fostering robust trading environments. Through GIFT City we see great opportunities for collaboration and working with market participants to expand their portfolio access to Eurex and other entities of Deutsche Börse Group such as Market Data and Analytics, for advanced analytics to optimize trading strategies and risk management.

As a global clearer we are looking at opportunities within India for our existing client base and the trip is focusing on finding the right solutions open to us and getting our name out to the Indian trading community.  Our ability to offer a scalable service built on a foundation of sound risk management and expertise in derivatives and their underlying markets is the message that we want to get across.  We are very aware of the opportunities that India is creating and its rise in importance globally, so our intention is to promote these also to our professional and wider client base.

Our portfolio risk will enable efficiencies for clients to trade the India domestic market and instruments against related products elsewhere.  An example is the locally listed Indian composites of the various global Indian ETFs.

1. What are you hoping to bring to Trading India and get from it?

We hope to showcase the existing opportunities in the Brazilian market, sharing our experience in our trading infrastructure, products, and market structure. Additionally, we aim to bring along the knowledge related to the necessary environment required to access the Brazilian market. Furthermore, we recognize the great potential of the event to provide insights through panel discussions and interactions with exchanges, proprietary trading firms, vendors, brokers, and regional intermediaries.

2. How can your product/service help with the Indian derivatives trading professionals?

As the Brazilian Exchange, our products and services can provide alternatives to Indian trading professionals who seek to expand their geographical coverage. With our important trading volumes in a great range of derivatives contracts (FX, STIRs, Equities and Commodities), besides our dedicated relationship management team focused on the APAC region, we strive to provide the best possible support and service to Indian clients.

3. What opportunities do you see in the industry?

We see significant opportunities in the HFT and investment industry, both in terms of technological advancements and expanding regional coverage for investment firms. With the application of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, we anticipate improvements in service quality, speed, and overall performance. Additionally, we have identified a growing appetite among market players to diversify and expand their operations into other markets, such as Brazil, especially with the opportunities that GIFT City represents.

4. What else do you want to share with the delegates?

It would be valuable to discuss the impacts of market fragmentation on stakeholders, including both positive and negative aspects such as costs, execution complexity, market monitoring difficulties, and more. Drawing lessons from more fragmented markets, we can gain insights into related topics to ensure we are well-informed.

Additionally, we can explore themes such as "the level of determinism that trading platforms should have," considering aspects like racing path, public versus private market data, variance levels, and the ideal latency level of a trading platform. By understanding the general preferences of players, we can contribute to shaping the microstructure characteristics that promote a healthy and diverse market.
